Tom Fuller / Joe Dawson Black English Gunflints  - Fine Quality

The finest natural flint appears as dense grey-black nodules, embedded within chalk deposits. After a lifetime of studying these formations, expert flintknapper Tom Fuller has passed the trade on to Joe Dawson. Employing this time-honored heritage knowhow, theirs’ is not quick work, but the product of carefully observing, measuring, and predicting each fracture line. Only then a one-of-a-kind gunflint is gentles extricated from the nodule. 

These premium gunflints are produced using techniques dating back to 18th century. While the gunflints are designed for use in flintlock muskets, each is unique, and thus fit cannot be guaranteed. These authentic period replicas are a must for period reenactors and any history enthusiasts looking for period realism.
