Our lanterns are exquisitely handmade, one piece at a time, using methods from the 1800’s. It is therefore quite difficult if not impossible to make identical items. Even though we have the most attentive artisans who are “Masters” of their respective crafts, and even though every effort is made to create only the best, measurements, sizes, patterns and design may not be consistent. These natural blemishes are what make each piece of a handmade product charming unique and authentic to the period.
